LYRICS:
She’s seeing the world
two weeks at a time
Antiquities and sidewalk cafes
Ruins or Renoirs
It’s so hard to decide
She’ll save the rest for another day
Chorus:
Out the door with a camera and a plan
An old guide book firmly in her hand
She wants to see it all
The mundane and sublime
But she has to do it
Two weeks at a time
She only gets two weeks at a time
Villages and mountain tops
In far away lands
She’s humbled by the beauty she’s seen
For a workaday girl
Who’s done the best she can
It’s enough just to follow her dream
Chorus:
Out the door with a camera and a plan
A Rick Steves book firmly in her hand
She wants to see it all
The mundane and sublime
But she has to do it
Two weeks at a time
She only gets two weeks at a time
Bridge:
When she gets home
And puts the key in the door
Comfort mixes with pain
She’s happy with her life
But the bags on the floor
Make her yearn
To head out again
Chorus:
Out the door with a camera and a plan
A Rick Steves book firmly in her hand
She wants to see it all
The mundane and sublime
But she has to do it
Two weeks at a time
She only gets two weeks at a time
Yes
She only gets
Two weeks
At a time
