LYRICS:
Took a wrong turn in Kentucky
Got lost in Tennessee
Stayed a while in Georgia
It was too darn hot for me
Met a girl in Carolina
She brought me pizza and a beer
I looked up
She flashed a smile
That’s how I wound up here
CHORUS:
That’s how I wound up here
A girl A pizza and a beer
It’s the perfect combination
That’s absolutely clear
And that’s how I wound up here
Sometimes I get the notion
To just pack up and roam
But then I look around me
And I know that this is home
And so I count my blessings
Toss out my doubts and fears
You never know when life will change
That’s how I wound up here.
CHORUS:
That’s how I wound up here
A girl A pizza and a beer
It’s the perfect combination
That’s absolutely clear
And that’s how I wound up here
That’s how I wound up here
That’s how I wound up here
Right where I belong
